To apply for the Stafford student loan programs, you must first complete a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov . When processed, download and print the "pdf" version of the Student Aid Report (SAR).
The Stafford Master Promissory Note and/or Plus Loan Master Promissory Note are available from your Lending Agency. Complete these application forms and send them to the Registrar's Office at Dalhousie with a copy of your SAR and a note confirming your Lender's address if it is not on the Master Promissory Note. We will then complete the Plus Loan and/or the Stafford Loan School Certification forms and forward all documents to the specified address. They will notify you of the application results.
